Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-20

1. Purpose and nature of the output

This service (the “Service”) generates synthetic, fictitious accounting data — trial balances, general ledgers, charts of accounts, and supporting PDFs — for the purpose of software testing, training, research, and audit-tool development. The output is generated algorithmically from seeded random distributions and fixed templates. It is not derived from any real entity, transaction, person, or organization. Any resemblance to a real entity is coincidental.

2. Not professional advice

The Service and its output do not constitute accounting, audit, tax, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Nothing produced by the Service is a substitute for engagement with a licensed professional. No fiduciary, advisory, or attorney-client relationship is created by use of the Service.

3. As-is, no warranty

The Service and its output are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or availability. The generator is known to produce output that is intentionally incomplete (e.g., seeded errors, stub entries, simplified depreciation) for testing purposes.

4. Prohibited uses

You agree you will not:

  • Submit, file, publish, or represent the output as actual financial information of any real governmental entity, person, or organization to any regulator, auditor, court, tax authority, investor, lender, counterparty, or other third party.
  • Use the output to deceive, defraud, or mislead any person.
  • Use the Service to generate content that impersonates a specific real entity with the intent to mislead.
  • Attempt to overwhelm, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the operation of the Service, including through automated scraping, rate-limit evasion, or denial-of-service activity.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators and authors of the Service shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or relating to your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service or its output, including but not limited to any regulatory finding, audit outcome, misstatement, reliance, or third-party claim. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if the operators have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for how the output is used, for compliance with all applicable laws, professional-licensing rules, regulatory frameworks, and contractual obligations, and for any disclosures to persons with whom you share the output. If you share the output with a third party, you agree to clearly identify it as synthetic test data.

7. License

The Service source code is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0. The Service builds on the Florida Uniform Accounting System structure, GASB statement categories, and FLSA / Ch. 10.550 error patterns.

8. Changes

These terms may change without notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
